Our services are a fundamental aspect of St Vincent de Paul Hamilton and play an integral part in assisting those who may be struggling or facing hardship by supporting them with whatever they need to get back on track. We offer food support, clothing, and other supportive services to assist with financial burdens that guide our community towards a more hopeful and optimistic lifestyle.

Vinnies Foodbank

We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. We are closed Wednesday. We provide diverse kai parcels to families & individuals struggling. This is short term, helping them get back on their feet until payday.

Affordable Energy

We offer affordable energy options if you live in the Waikato and are in the Wel Energy area. Customers without internet banking can pay cash or EFTPOS at our Frankton store.

Healthy Homes Program

Under the direction of the electricity supplier, we have qualified healthy homes assessors that visit and appraise the potential for energy savings in their homes.

Community Lunches for the Hungry

We provide a seated hot lunch for the needy on a Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We average 25 people per sitting. The cooking of meals is overseen by Vinnies Staff and assisted by volunteers from Schools and local businesses.

Curtain Bank

As part of the program, we have a curtain bank, and we provide curtains for window insulation as an additional means of saving power and providing a healthier environment.

Free Budgeting Service

We have qualified budgeters onsite five days a week. We provide this service by appointment only however walk-ins are welcome.

We collect perfectly safe, edible food from going to waste and redistribute it back into the community to support people in need

Winter warmers

Donated winter clothing is put aside during warmer months and donated to (mostly) families from May onwards, often at the request of other agencies.

We offer household goods – beds, lounge furniture, Kitchen, and delivery at a minimal cost or free to the recipient. Clients are usually referred by agencies we deal with.

Christmas Toy Run

The annual Christmas toy run, supported by schools and community organisations, gift toys which are donated to Hamilton Vinnies for distribution to a hundred of families in need two weeks leading into Christmas.
